ISSUES FAQ
I View all issues as important to the many Citizens of Delaware. To wrap our arms around the work that needs to be continued, we lay out the following role of the State Senators.
When Elected, Is on me to listen and help you, our local Constituents with day to day bureaucratic issues. In addition, we represent your advice to advance the greater good of the district through passing new legislation. Selected key priorities to be addressed are:
Medicare for all, full support for The Home Of The Brave initiative helping the homeless vets. I fully support a national vaccination program targeted at the COVID 19 pandemic achieving 85% shots in arms. I am viewing this as analogues to the highly successful mid 20th century national polio vaccination program.
We fully support Dave Mangler's work to connect the movement visability of prescriptions drugs though out Delaware. In particular Opioids tracing throughout computer portals concerning over use.
Great strides were made with SB 5 backing up Roe v. Wade. We do believe Women’s health goes further i.e. Planned Parenthood is a safe harbor for health services and should be protected. I am personally proud of the fact that Planned Parenthood, endorsed our prior run for office.
All human rights, and pursuit of happiness, unconditionally, are to be consistent, respected, enforced, and understood to be for all. period. We fully support a fair & just society.
Continue supporting Attorney General Kathy Jennings’s initiatives regarding Criminal Justice, Gun Safety, with re focusing her vision to fruition. Her direction is real, and spot on by my view. We are proud our campaign was endorsed by the national gun violence candidate watchdog group the Sandy Hook Foundation starting in 2018.
is real needing urgent attention in Delaware. I support the HB 200 funding strides made this past year, with the understanding that the movement and assignment of appropriated monies need to be monitored and connect with the people's greater good.
While we all have come to understand the sound bites of clean water, air, are a right, we must insist it is for all Delawareans. Being good stewards of the climate is supported, albeit, following the money to make sure it all gets to the right places will be paramount to include underserved E J communities.
As an ex- school teacher, I believe Public, Private, or Vocation schools are all part of our children’s dream by giving them the tools to face an ever challenging world. They must be constantly supported. to prepare for the future.
Preparing students for life by bringing in fast internet, better transportation, and infrastructures to get to jobs locally is all connected and needing immediate attention. We want to keep our children here to begin raising next gen families through positive careers.
Make voting easy for all Delawareans to participate in Democracy. As has been stated, 1) Move toward elections day being a state holiday. 2) We need to bring state and federal primary elections in line and on the same day. 3) 10 day early voting . 4) No excuse absentee voting.
